- Monitor, record, and report symptoms orchanges in Patients’ conditions.
- Consult and coordinate with teammembers of operative and other procedural areas for safe effective care ofpatients as well as “on time” case starts.
- Record patients’ medical informationand vital signs.
- Order, interpret, and evaluatediagnostic tests to identify and assess patients condition.
- Modify patient treatment plans asindicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
- Direct or supervise less-skillednursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcareteam members to assess, plan, implement or evaluate patient care plans.
- Instruct individuals, families, orother groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention and assistwith development of health improvement programs.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinationsor treatments.
- Prepare and educate patient ondischarge instructions.
- Participate in developing departmentgoals/objectives and employee engagement action planning.
- Participate in staff meetings andattends other meetings and seminars/professional development as requested bymanager.
- Participate in all aspects of patient,equipment and hospital safety.
- Supportsthe facility’s Standards of Performance, Patient Promise and ICARE values.
Qualifications
- RN licensure by Tennessee Board ofNursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- PALS from the American HeartAssociation required within six months of employment.
- Med/Surg Experience
