Senior Database Administrator

Zycron has joined with a local Utilities company in search of a Senior Database Administrator for a permanent position in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities Minimum of 8 years related work experience in the area of Oracle database administration with at least 2 years of experience using version 12c Enterprise Edition. Minimum of 2 years related work experience in supporting Oracle databases with the following technologies ASM, RMAN, RAC, and OEM. Minimum of 2 years related work experience in supporting Oracle databases on Unix OS of either Oracle Linux, RHEL, Solaris, or AIX. Minimum of 2 years related work experience in supporting Oracle database technologies specifically, Golden Gate, Active Data Guard, and Exadata database appliances. Minimum of 2 years setting up database backups, executing and monitoring those backups, and recovering databases from backups either in support of actual recoveries or disaster recovery exercises. KnowledgeSkill Requirements Oracle Utility Application experience (CCNB, C2M, MDM, SOA, SGG, WebLogic, etc.) Moderate to Expert skills with Unix OS Oracle Linux, RHEL, Solaris, AIX Ability to support other RDBMS is a plus – SQL Server, DB2, etc. Skills in supporting databases in VM environments with highly redundant, highly available systems Understanding and skills in supporting WebLogic, PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM, and Oracle Utility Applications. Understanding and skills in supporting databases with technologies such as DellEMC Data Domains, VM andor Zones, CommVault or Dell Avamar backup solutions.
