Job Summary:The Clinical StaffLeader is a direct supervisory leadership role and a key member of the NursingLeadership team.

The primary focus of theClinical Staff Leader is to ensure the unit’s optimal performance by engagingIn effective problem solving for staff, patients and families and toDevelop/lead the assigned cohort.

The Clinical Staff Leader provides feedbackAnd coaching to staff members, recognizing them for their contributions whileFostering a high performance culture.

The CSL works under the guidance andDirection of the manager to develop.Position Shift: Full-time, Night Shift (Requires 2 12 hour shifts and 2 8 hour shifts with 1-2 weekend shifts in a 6 week period.)Department/UnitSummary:
· The SICU unit specializes in caring for a critically ill patient populationThat may include liver, kidney, or pancreas transplants; as well as head, neck,Thoracic, urologic, and GI surgical patients.

Our primary focus is toProvide our diverse patient population with excellent care related to anyElective, urgent, or emergent major surgical intervention, as well as proceduresThat negatively impact normal hemodynamic stability.

This is typicallyThe immediate post-operative phase, but may also include the diagnostic,Pre-operative, and extended post-operative phases of care.

Our nursesWork closely with the SICU physicians and nurse practitioners to provide careFor patients with multiple system organ dysfunctions, ventilators, vasoactiveDrips and other therapies to ensure optimal sedation, analgesia, cardiac, andHemodynamic function.
