Job Title: Senior Account Manager – Commercial Lines
Overview: Anderson Benson Insurance is a full-service, locally owned and independent insurance agency located in Nashville serving commercial clients and individuals throughout middle-Tennessee and the continental US. To support our continuing growth, we are seeking an experienced, high-performing Commercial Lines Account Manager to become an important member of our team. Position Description
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day account management for clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Assist Producers in all aspects of servicing and marketing of renewal business; beginning to end.
· Manage an assigned book of business and build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients.
· Create professional quality Risk Management Summaries/Proposals for clients.
· Participate in meetings and calls to assist in the development of client presentations; provide loss analysis for Client.
· May periodically visit clients with Producer, including active participation in renewal preparation and presentation.
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance company underwriters and representatives to effectively market new and renewal business as directed by the marketing department.
· Manage all policy and client-related correspondence documentation within the agency management system.
· Complete the review and check-in of policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
· Complete applications.
Job Requirements
· Minimum of ten years of professional experience in Commercial Property and Casualty account management roles managing both small and large accounts preferred
· Strong understanding of the underwriting process including new and renewal business.
· Exceptional customer service to a book of business consisting of a variety of complex accounts
· Superior work ethic, prompt and regular attendance
· Strict compliance with NDA’s as respects highly confidential prospective and current client information
· Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with a positive and energetic attitude
· Strong customer resolution skills
· Valid Tennessee Property & Casualty License
· Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
· AMS 360 agency management & billing experience is required
· Must be capable of demonstrating knowledge of insurance coverage for a wide variety of SIC codes
· Proven ability to work with a variety of carriers
· Project Management experience preferred
Examples of Daily Activities the Ideal Candidate performs well and with enthusiasm:
– Services, manages, retains, and grows an existing book of business.
– Handles day-to-day service work associated with the client’s account, including all endorsement activity and routine coverage questions. Responds to inquiries from clients and gathers signed documents, deliver signed documents to underwriters, and obtain any additional information to finalize bind requests from agents and marketing (ex: loss runs). Follows up with underwriters for quotes.
– Maintain accurate account records in the agency management software system (AMS 360). Keeps activity, deadlines, renewal dates, coverage information, endorsements, and correspondence updated in management system on a daily basis to ensure real time information. Updates databases and spreadsheets.
– Develops and maintains client relationships during the management and renewal process of assigned insurance accounts to ensure excellent customer service and account retention.
– Markets most renewals and may occasionally assist in marketing of new business. Performs desktop publishing on regular basis to assist in the creation of marketing materials and assists in the creation of PowerPoint presentations. Types and produces general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business and financial reports, etc.
– Prepares and arranges delivery of certificates of insurance, policies, endorsements, and invoices to clients.
– Sends renewal letters and correspondence to clients throughout the year.
– Records and reports loss notices to claims advocate.
– Works on special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
