Synch Licensing Clearance Associate

As the Licensing Clearance Associate , you will field requests from synch clients, secure necessary approvals and negotiate fees for synch licenses. The core responsibilities include but are not limited to: Receiving, responding and handling requests from synch clients for quotes for synch fees Researching and confirming company’s rights to songs, including coordinating with internal departments to ensure relevant information is populated and accurate in internal systems Entering all relevant deal/quote information into company’s database in a timely manner and ensuring data in database is complete and accurate. Secures approvals, as required and negotiates fees with synch clients. Coordinate with and supports contract administration staff to ensure licenses are being drafted and delivered in a timely manner. Following-Up on quotes to secure confirmations Act as internal point person on deals and maintain ownership and responsibility for deal from request through confirmation Perform any other duties and tasks related to the department’s role and responsibilities that might be assigned by the team’s management from time to time Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of licensing experience, preferably with experience in the music or entertainment industry General knowledge of music clearance & licensing concepts. Understands copyright concepts as they relate to musical recordings, compositions, artwork, etc. Must be highly proficient in various computer programs including: FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Access) Experience providing a high level of customer service Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and detail oriented Strong data-entry skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership for tasks Handles and safeguards highly confidential and sensitive or proprietary information Able to manage multiple assignments at any given time and priorities them effectively and appropriately while adhering to short deadlines and maintain accountability Establish and maintain important external alliances with clients
