Executive Office Assistant-68638

Quality Staffing, Inc. is seeking an EXECUTIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT to work through our agency as a contract employee for the State of Tennessee in the VETERANS EDUCATION DIVISION in Nashville TN . This is a 1 st shift position working Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30 PM for a total of 37.5 hours per week. Pay will start at $15.00/hr. Parking is NOT included for this position. It is the responsibility of the employee to take care of parking fees. This location is accessible to public transportation.

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Under the supervision of the Assistant Executive Director for Veterans Education, this position performs a variety of high-level administrative and support assignments

· Requires sound professional judgment

· Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a wide variety of partners

· Includes individual veterans along with members of both state and federal agencies

· Provide administrative support to the Veterans Education division

· Implement and manage spreadsheet tracking of key processes within the division

· Maintain Veterans Education division schedules and calendars

· Coordinate division meetings, webinars, and outreach activities

· Maintain Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) approval documentation

· Prepare written reports for submission to VA

· Properly maintain personally identifiable information (PII) documentation

· Gain a general familiarity with federal regulations for veterans education benefits

· Communicate with state and federal agencies, along with veterans and military service members regarding Veterans Education benefits

  • Keep the office stocked with needed office supplies
  • Maintain office filing and storage systems
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintain office equipment, and office assignments
  • Assist with general office administrative work
