Our Client, a Pittsburgh-based provider of telecom network testing services, is currently seeking a Network Test Specialist to support testing projects in Greater Nashville and surrouding areas in TN and KY. Projects can include ongoing regional testing for voice and data networks, testing of 911 systems, and network QA for hospitals, casinos, mass transit, and special events. Our ideal candidate will be located within 45 minutes of downtown Nashville. A work vehicle and all the necessary test equipment is provided.
This long-term role will require roughly 25% overnight travel within the States of Tennessee and Kentucky. While traveling, all expenses are covered – hotel, meals, vehicle, gas, tolls.
Responsibilities
- Drive test collection, special project testing, and field coordination with Client representatives
- Utilization of various test equipment arrangements, system test receivers, test vehicle and associated laptop computer.
- Interaction with other engineering personnel in team oriented environment.
Qualifications
- AS degree in Engineering or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience/military service
- Able to utilize a laptop and quickly learn Windows-based testing applications
- Experience with mapping preferred – at least to read maps, use GPS.
- Ability to stay in the test region overnight occasionally with lodging, vehicle, and expenses paid by the company.
- Must have a clean criminal and driving background with valid license
