The Opportunity

The Retail Operations Manager will manage merchandise planning, purchasing and inventory for retail operations at the arena, including product assortment, selection, pricing and vendor management.  Will be responsible for all retail planning and purchasing and operations including:

• Oversees the merchandising and inventory planning for all retail selling locations.  Works with Store Operations and Warehouse Supervisor regarding proper execution of merchandise plan and vision.  
• Ensure proper hiring, promoting and termination of retail associates; provide instruction on company policies and procedures to supervisors and ensure proper follow-through.  And ensure proper staffing for all events.
• Manage in-store merchandising and display to ensure maximum visual impact and revenue generation. Monitor in-stock position of approved merchandise programs and inventory control at store level to ensure procedural and policy compliance.
• Develop and implement customer and employee promotions.  Provide direction to retail supervisors on implementation.  Adhere to company directives on physical inventory and reporting.
• Maintain Retail/Micro system.  Audit security procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines, and provide corrective action plans as needed.

We are seeking a retail operations manager with a minimum of 3-5 years retail operations/buying experience including previous experience managing a staff. Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management and/or Business preferred.

• Experience working in a ballpark or sporting venue strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and retail operations, policies and procedures.
• Strong negotiations skills; ability to present on behalf of the company; strong client relationship skills.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge with RetailPro or similar retail management system preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint required.
