GoNoodle is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to expand and optimize our automated test infrastructure, as well as drive improvements in engineering methodologies. The right candidate will possess a strong hands-on automation technical background and is passionate about software quality, has demonstrated strong capability in building test automation frameworks and components. As an Automation Engineer, you will…
- Have the experience and knowledge to architect automation frameworks for web and mobile applications
- Improve, develop, and maintain automated tests to validate features and functionality across various GoNoodle products on mobile and web platforms.
- Propose regression tests to discover recurring issues and drive the tests to “automation complete”
- Identify and drive improvements in engineering methodologies to ensure system quality and team efficiency
- Collaborate with program managers and software developers to define requirements and ensure testability
- Proactively bringing issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them
Strong candidates will bring the following experience and skill sets:
- 3+ years of experience working as a Software Development Engineer in Test
- 3+ years experience with Selenium, preference using Ruby with Capybara
- 3+ years of experience with Page Object Model Design pattern
- 3+ years experience with AGILE SW Methodologies, in a Continuous Delivery environment
- Strong programming and technical experience as this role will require digging into code and interfacing with developers
- Proficient with bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes
- Proficient with software development/debugging tools (e.g. Postman, curl, CharlesProxy, Chrome Dev Tools)
- Understanding of database fundamentals and SQL Programming
- Solid understanding of how REST APIs work.
- Familiarity with GIT / code repositories
- Experience with build infrastructures like Jenkins
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Automation experience is preferred in Ruby/Cucumber framework
- Major plus; Also has mobile automation development experience using Appium and Selenium
- Creative thinking skills and detail-oriented
- Strong desire for learning and improvement
