JOB TITLE: Director of Product
TRAVEL: Yes – up to 70%
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The product director is responsible for the product vision, road map, definition, and successful launch. The product director will combine business ROI, user requirements gathering, technology, and design in order to discover if a new product or major product enhancement is valuable, feasible, and usable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with stakeholders to set and execute the long-term vision for i3 Verticals Public Sector.
- Ability to achieve product vision and road map buy in with sales, marketing, engineering, and development and executive teams.
- Ability to continually weigh and communicate the competing factors of objectives for products, company’s resources, and demands from various stakeholders.
- Develop methods to gather real-world user data, customer feedback, and metrics on new and existing products in order for analytics to help guide decisions. These should include intelligence about existing products, customers and markets as well competitors’ products and the industry as a whole.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
- At least a four-year business or technology degree and 8 years’ experience in software product development or software project management.
- 10 years in a product management role in government sector
