IDR is seeking a Hardware Support Specialist for a new role in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate is someone with a foundation in technical support who is looking to further their career and grow within an organization.
Position Overview for the Hardware Support Specialist:
Provide technical assistance to internal employees
Answer technical questions via phone, email, and in person
Clearly document work performed using the ticketing system
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department
Train employees on use of software programs as needed
Required Experience for the Hardware Support Specialist:
At least 1 year of professional experience in a helpdesk or service desk role
Proven experience in an inbound helpdesk
Experience working with a ticketing system
Excellent customer service
Basic technical support knowledge specifically around desktops, laptops, Windows, MS Office, printers, etc.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with Command Line Interface
Linux experience
Must be a team player and eager to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
